Master of Psychology (Clinical); Bachelor of Applied Science (Psychology) (Honours)
Hi, my name is Jess and I've been practicing as a fully registered psychologist for about 10 years now! I've worked in private practice since commencing my career and I have truly loved supporting all the clients that I have met along the way.
I like to consider myself as a warm, friendly, and approachable person. Although seeing a psychologist for the first time can be anxiety-provoking, I aim to help new clients feel at ease with my desire to truly hear and understand everyone's unique experiences and goals in therapy.
I enjoy providing psychological services to those from diverse cultural backgrounds and with various presenting issues, including anxiety and depression, starting from early adulthood and beyond (age 18+). I draw on evidence-based approaches; tailoring therapy to meet the individual needs of each client. With a client-centered approach, I not only listen, but also encourage the use of strategies designed to improve your mental health and overall wellbeing.
I treat a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, and eating disorders. Since becoming a mother of two children, I have also developed a special interest in supporting parents through the joys and challenges that come with pregnancy and parenthood.
Medicare rebates for psychological sessions are available with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), Eating Disorder Plan (EDP), and Pregnancy Support Counselling referral.
For more information about the presenting issues that I treat, please refer to the "Home" page. To learn more about my treatment approaches, please visit the "Treatment" section.
I am also a board-approved supervisor for psychologists. Please send an enquiry for further details on supervision services available.
